F&B-02: TAKING THE FOOD & BEVERAGE ORDER
Why This SOP Matters Most
Every great meal starts with a great order. Taking the order is more than just writing down food — it is listening, understanding, and showing respect for the guest's wishes. One mistake here changes the whole experience.
On a cruise ship, hundreds of guests dine every day. Accuracy is not optional — it is the standard.
🗣️ EXAMPLE CONVERSATION — Practice Aloud!
Staff: Excuse me, are you ready to order, please?
Guest: Yes, I am. I would like the grilled fish, please. And one fresh orange juice.
Staff: Grilled fish and one fresh orange juice. Anything else?
Guest: No, thank you. That is all.
Staff: May I repeat your order? Grilled fish and fresh orange juice. Is that correct?
Guest: Yes, that is right.
Staff: Thank you very much. Your order will be with you shortly.

- Repeat the order before you leave.
- Write it down and then confirm.
- Ask politely because you want to be sure.
🔥 Remember — Adjective First!
